Memorial Stones – Our Village a Century Ago

For Remembrance Day 2018, marking 100 years since the end of World War One, people of Bishampton (Worcestershire, UK) have been invited to pay personal tribute to the sacrifices made by their counterparts a century before.

As part of an art installation, they were invited to take the time to make a painted stone as a way of thinking about the Great War and its effects on a small community and the wider world.

(Some names are difficult to read – please let me know if they need changing)

The project was commissioned by Bishampton and Throckmorton Parish Council and created by Carolyn Morris with the help of Bishampton History Society.
